Dr Peter Sorensen
Veterinarian & Practice Owner · BVSc, MANZCVS (Surg)
Pete has lived on the Mornington Peninsula most of his life and went to school right here in Mt Eliza. A University of Melbourne graduate (2008), he completed surgery membership exams in 2013 and performs soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, including TPLO, in-house. He also has a soft spot for reptile medicine.
Dr Libby Sorensen
Veterinarian & Practice Owner · BVSc, MANZCVS (E&CC)
Libby graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 and completed Emergency and Critical Care membership exams in 2013. She manages the practice while studying diagnostic imaging, and offers basic echocardiography, particularly for dogs with mitral valve disease.
Dr Beth Metcalfe
Veterinarian · BSc, DVM
Born in England, raised on the Peninsula, Beth graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019. Her interests include antimicrobial stewardship and One Health research. Off duty she runs, plays field hockey and hangs out with her greyhound, Margot.
Dr Lyla Wilson
Veterinarian · BSc, DVM
Lyla joined us after a stint in mixed-animal practice in East Gippsland. A University of Melbourne graduate (2023), she brings a warm, compassionate approach to every patient. She shares her home with Walter the cavoodle and Althea the cat.
Dr Megan Smith
Veterinarian · BVSc
With over 25 years of experience, Megan provides care rooted in deep clinical knowledge and genuine compassion. She takes a holistic approach spanning pain management, behaviour, musculoskeletal health and acupuncture, with a special passion for geriatric and anxious pets.

Julia Groves
Senior Veterinary Nurse · Cert IV
Jules is an experienced vet nurse of 25+ years who joined MEVV in 2021. She primarily works in surgery and is a fountain of puppy advice, with a decade of cavoodle breeding experience behind her.
Lauren McAuley
Veterinary Nurse · Cert IV
With us since 2018, Lauren has special interests in wildlife and avian care and has volunteered at Australia Zoo with reptiles and birds. Ask her about her lorikeet, Birb.
Sarah Muir
Veterinary Nurse · Cert IV
Sarah joined MEVV in 2020 and has completed her studies in Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. She adores all animals big and small, including her cats Tabitha and Tortellini.
Alex Tindal
Veterinary Nurse · Cert IV
Alex joined in 2020 after eleven years as an international flight attendant. She now keeps reception and admin running smoothly, and spends her downtime at CrossFit or walking her German shepherds.
Corinna Dillon
Receptionist
Corinna joined in 2022 after more than 20 years as a dental nurse. An animal lover and a people person, she's the friendly voice on the phone and the first face you'll see at the desk.
Sienna Botha
Trainee Veterinary Nurse
Originally from England, Sienna is completing her Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience with plans to study veterinary medicine. She joined MEVV in 2023 and has volunteered on safari conservation in South Africa.
