Dr. Peter Sorensen

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVSc, MANZCVS (Surg))

Peter has lived on the Mornington Peninsula for most of his life and went to Mt Eliza primary and secondary school.  He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2008 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and then started his veterinary career as a mixed animal practitioner working on the Peninsula and then later to dairy country in the rolling hills of Gippsland. After a few years he gained a special interest in small animal surgery and studied further to complete his membership examinations in small animal surgery in 2013. After passing these exams he and his wife Libby travelled to England and worked as locum vets at various veterinary clinics throughout the country for almost one year. Having enjoyed this time of travel and gaining a range of veterinary experience at home and abroad, he decided to settle back at home on the Mornington Peninsula. His professional interests include small animal surgery and reptile medicine. Outside of work Peter enjoys getting outdoors particularly to go cycling, fishing or tending to the vege patch and garden. He has several special pets including Becky a cheeky Jack Russell and Spike the bearded dragon.

If Libby is not at work she is with her animals: a very special Jack Russel called Becky and two much loved horses Ruby and Gaye.
