Mt. Eliza Village Vet is a small, family-owned and operated clinic situated on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. It is owned by husband-and-wife team Drs. Pete and Libby Sorensen. They met at university, married a few years later, and spent several years practicing in different fields of veterinary medicine (including mixed practice, emergency and even a brief stint in the UK!), but always had dreams of opening their very own veterinary practice. They love living on the Peninsula and, given that Pete is a Mt. Eliza local, the ideal location couldn’t have been more obvious!

In 2016, their dream was finally realised – the doors of the Village Vets opened to the Peninsula community, and since then our lovely clinic has gone from strength to strength! We are currently a team of ten (four vets, five nurses, and our lovely receptionist Corinna), and all of us are dedicated to providing a high standard of modern, personal and compassionate care for our veterinary patients.

We offer a wide range of veterinary services, from routine preventative healthcare and procedures to more advanced diagnostics, and are equipped with a fully operational theatre for soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Our team are actively encouraged to pursue further learning and interests within veterinary medicine so we can continue to provide the very best care for your pets.

Pop in and meet our friendly team or book an appointment online – we cater for all creatures great and small and look forward to meeting and caring for you and the furry (or feathery) members of your family!
